“Wait for it…”

imgres-1It’s been said that, “Good things come to those that wait.” However, we live in a culture of instant gratification where we download virtual reality at unreal speeds. But just what might we be missing out on?

Here are 4 Reasons to “Wait for it…”

1) We don’t know what “it” is. We may think we know what is coming. However, we rarely can anticipate the nature of something yet to come to fruition.

2) We have time to prepare ourselves for it. We only think we are ready. There is always more to do to not only prepare things, but to prepare ourselves for something yet to come.

3) We develop greater appreciation for it. Gratitude is cultivated over time. The absence of something, or someone, has a powerful way of developing a sense of worth and value. We may have to wait longer than we ever dreamed, but when it comes… it will be worth it!

4) We’ll be more ready to do something with it. Whatever it is, we can and should do more than just enjoy it for ourselves. How will we leverage that long awaited new day, new resource, new job, or new relationship for God’s glory and the good of others?

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14, NIV

Waiting has always been part of God’s promise and plan for His people… the prophesied birth of the Messiah, wondering what He meant when He said, “…and on the third day he will rise again…” And now, waiting His promise, “I will come again…”

Wait for it…
